Find Funding Opportunities with GrantForward
GrantForward, available to all Illinois faculty at no cost, is a grant search engine that provides access to an extensive array of funding opportunities. The Support tab is your gateway to tutorials and guides, including how to save and customize searches with keywords.
You can create a new GrantForward account using your university credentials here.
Search GrantForward
Click here to access GrantForward. Then click on the Log In option on the upper right of the website. Please use your UIUC credentials to access GrantForward.
Once at the home screen, you can perform a quick search by simply scrolling down to the Quick Search bar and entering in keywords.
Quick Tip: Grants Tab
From the Grants Tab select “Search Grant Opportunities”. From there you can enter keywords or phrases to start searching. If you are looking to refine your searches use the filter options. You can narrow down your searches by options such as “Sponsor”, “Deadline Date”, “Award Amount”, “Sponsor Type”, “Grant Type” and a host of others.
If you have a particular refined set of search criteria you can quickly save your search results by clicking on the Save/Load option. From there you can edit and set alerts for that particular search or all your searches. Multiple saved searches can be saved to your user profile.
Quick Tip: Researchers Tab
From the “Research Tab” you can create, and edit your profile. Setting up a profile allows researchers to provide their research interests to better refine searches.
As you set up your profile you have the option to set your profile to Public, Within Institutions, or Private. Setting your profile to Public allows for your profile to be searchable by other users. This is a helpful tool for those looking to collaborate.
