Services for faculty research and creative activities

Explore Our Services

We provide a range of resources and services for faculty research and creative activities, from proposal support to networking opportunities. (Learn more, below!)

If you are preparing a book proposal or applying for funding support (fellowships, grants, residencies), we are available to provide feedback on drafts of proposal narratives and supporting documents. Many faculty work with us on both types of proposals and for multiple applications.

We also provide guidance on both the funding agency and the program, as well as the application guidelines and requirements.

We ask that you please note the following:

  • All faculty applying for funding from federal agencies and/or funding that is awarded to the institution must work with Sponsored Programs Administration (SPA) for application preparation, review, and submission. Please note that internal deadlines (set by SPA and your department) are earlier than the sponsor deadline.
  • Faculty in the College of LAS applying for funding from federal agencies and/or funding that is awarded to the institution must also contact the LAS Office of Research at las-research@illinois.edu a minimum of four weeks prior to the sponsor deadline to notify them that you plan to apply.

Please reach out and let us know how we can best support your work.
